It’s one of those nights where there are too many good bands playing opposite each other. Given the times that they play and including traveling time, you can probably only see two of the five shows listed below. So you’ll have to choose between the rock and punk of Spanking Charlene, the intelligent pop and very funny between song remarks of Jim Boggia, the Americana and folk rock with a touch of the Irish from The Buddies (who are based in Chicago), the amalgam of rock, r&b, latin rhythms, 40s and 50s pop from Julia Haltigan and her large band, or the soul/rock/funk onslaught from the nine piece Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds.
